Past happenings are not as big a problem as our current belifes - No one's past can stop them from God's best, but current beliefs can. Paul's regrets for being a persecutor of Christians would seem difficult to overcome, but he did. We too can overcome shame and regret.
We can expect to live a supernatural life. When we partner our beliefs, words, and actions with the Creator of everything, this partnership will produce supernatural breakthrough and life. "These signs will follow those who believe" (Mark 16:17).

The revelation of what we already have in Christ will bring the shout of victory. Romans 8:37 tells us that we are "more than conquerors." Believing we are victorious is often the most important part of the battle. The essence of faith is to believe something is ours before we have actually experienced it. Let's believe now that we are victorious in Christ!
Shame is the most intense negative human emotion. It is a universal experience. Shame is the voice in your head that screams, “I am ______________________.” We fill-in-the-blank with words and phrases that attack the very core of our identity, but why? Why, in knowing how destructive shame is, do we allow ourselves to partner and give it power, eventually becoming a perpetrator of it in the lives of others?
When a leader understands that the purpose of meetings is not simply about getting goals accomplished, but, more importantly, it is about the development of the people in the meeting, then that leader will go to another level in his or her influence and empowerment.

Close your eyes and think for a moment about the person in your life that has a ton of joy. How do you feel about them? You respect them, don’t you? Would you let them speak into your life? Do they feel safe? If it is true joy, they do indeed. They seem to be wise in that they have the main thing in life right. They have joy.
